In this article, a keying pulse generator for a color television burst gate provides a gutting pulse in response to horizontal synchronizing pulses when present and a retrace pulse when absent.
Abstract
OF THE DISCLOSURE A keying pulse generator for a color television burst gate provides a gutting pulse in response to horizontal synchronizing pulses when present and in response to horizontal retrace pulses when sync pulses are absent. A timing circuit is provided to maintain a constant width keying pulse independent of video signal condition and receiver operating characteristics.

Burst gate pulse generating circuit

Hideyuki C, +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a burst gate pulse generating circuit was proposed, which includes a sync separation circuit (32) for separating a synchronizing signal from a composite video signal having a preset burst period and an integrating circuit (38) for integrating the separated signal.

Circuit for separation synchronizing signals from a composite video signal

TL;DR: An integrated circuit for improved burst gate pulse separation and for use in a digital video system receives a positive composite video signal from which horizontal, vertical and composite synchronizing signals and a burst gate signal signal are separated as discussed by the authors.

Controlled output composite keying signal generator for a television receiver

TL;DR: In this article, a burst gate circuit and a voltage translating network are combined to produce a composite keying signal, which consists of a first pulse component of a desired level as determined by the translating network and occurring during the blanking intervals, and a second pulse cmponent as provided from the burst-gate circuit, superimposed on the first pulse and encompassing the burst interval.

Burst gating signal generating circuit

TL;DR: In this article, a circuit for generating an accurately-timed noise-free signal for gating the chrominance burst portion of the composite video signal is presented, where the output pulses are then applied to a gating diode that is conductive only when those pulses have an amplitude above a predetermined bias level.

Burst gate pulse generator

TL;DR: In this paper, a burst gate pulse generating circuit with a switching transistor has been proposed, where the transistor conducts in response to an input pulse, and a resulting ringing waveform is used in conjunction with the inverse conduction characteristic of the transistor to turn off the transistor prior to the completion of one full cycle of ringing.

Burst gate circuit

TL;DR: In this paper, a burst gate pulse generating circuit includes a normally saturated transistor responsive to a pulse representative of a horizontal sync component of a video signal, which includes a burst interval, coupled to a base input of the transistor via an RC differentiating network for causing the transistor to operate between saturated and cut-off states, such that a gate pulse produced at the transistor collector output is delayed relative to the sync pulse and substantially coincides with burst interval.
