Abstract: 
To provide a driving support device and a driving support method that allow information on driving support to be acquired continuously even when a driver who drives a vehicle to park the vehicle in a parking position is checking a side mirror.SOLUTION: A driving support device 100 includes a target steering operation detection part 11 for detecting a steering operation to be performed by a driver when parking a vehicle; a first steering operation guide part 12 for causing a touch panel 200 provided in the central part of a dashboard of the vehicle to display an image indicating the steering operation; and a second steering operation guide part 14 for causing a display device 500 provided within a range of an effective field of vision when the driver checks the side mirror to display the steering operation.
