Abstract
This paper reviews econometric methods for dynamic panel data models, and presents examples that illustrate the use of these procedures. The focus is on panels where a large number of individuals or firms are observed for a small number of time periods, typical of applications with microeconomic data. The emphasis is on single equation models with autoregressive dynamics and explanatory variables that are not strictly exogenous, and hence on the Generalised Method of Moments estimators that are widely used in this context. Two examples using firm-level panels are discussed in detail: a simple autoregressive model for investment rates; and a basic production function.

A robust analysis of the relationship between renewable energy consumption and its main drivers

TL;DR: In this article, the authors provide a comprehensive and robust analysis of the drivers of renewable energy consumption for a panel of 64 countries, using both the static (Pooled OLS, Panel Fixed and Random Effects) and dynamic (difference and system GMM) panel data estimation approaches.

Fiscal policy and financial market movements

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the relationship between financial market movements and fiscal policy outcomes and found that an increase in asset prices affects in a positive and significant manner primary balances, with the response reflecting both a increase in government revenues and a fall in government spending.

Varieties of capitalism and the internationalization of state-owned enterprises

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors argue that state-dominated enterprises internationalize more (less) than privately owned enterprises in coordinated (liberal) market economies, whereas they exhibit an inconstant behavior in state-influenced market economies.
