TLDR
In this article, the authors consider the need for electrical supply for all purposeful objects moving in 3D space, and the system chosen has to survive particularly hostile environments in every case.
Abstract
All purposeful objects moving in three dimensions have similar requirements, although not all have to be met in every case. One requirement is electrical supply - essential in all but totally inactive satellites - and the system chosen has to survive particularly hostile environments.

High dispersion spectroscopic study of quiescent prominences

TL;DR: The utility of very high dispersion spectra for the study of line profile and velocity structure in quiescent prominences is demonstrated by observations, taken with the spectregraphic slit positioned normal to the limb in Hα λ6563 A, He D3 λ5876 A, and Ca+K λ3933 A as discussed by the authors.

High dispersion spectroscopy of quiescent prominences. II: Vertical structure of the line-of-sight velocity field.

TL;DR: In this paper, a systematic study of the internal horizontal motions of quiescent prominences which were observed at the limb has been made by using fourier techniques to analyse the shift of the Ca ii K line as a function of height above the limb.
