Enfermedad coronaria aneurismática severa en un adolescente con angina de esfuerzo secundaria a enfermedad de Kawasaki no diagnosticada previamente

TLDR
A 16 year old male with a history of angina on exertion and a treadmill exercise test was positive for ischemia in concordance with a Thallium-201scintigraphy showing a septal and infero-posterior reversible myocardial perfusion defect.
Abstract
We report a 16 year old male with a history of angina on exertion.A treadmill exercise test was positive for ischemia in concordance with a Thallium-201scintigraphy showing a septal and infero-posterior reversible myocardial perfusion defect.Coronary angiography disclosed severe aneurysmal coronary artery disease. Bilateral internalmammary coronary artery bypass grafting was successfully performed. Kawasaki disease is themost likely etiology, although not confirmed (Rev Med Chile 2007; 135: 1182-85).(

Application of Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty to Coronary Arterial Stenosis in Kawasaki Disease

TL;DR: When the previously reported cases of six similar patients were taken into consideration, the only predictor of successful PTCA seemed to be the time elapsed between the onset of Kawasaki disease and perfo...

Application of Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty to Coronary Arterial Stenosis in Kawasaki Disease

TL;DR: In cases in which patients show significant localized stenosis as a result of Kawasaki disease, PTCA should be attempted within 6 to 8 years of the onset of the disease.

Bilateral internal mammary artery grafts for coronary artery bypass operations in children

TL;DR: TheInternal mammary artery is the graft of choice for pediatric myocardial revascularization because of its excellent long-term patency and growth potential and the use of bilateral internal mammary arteries did not adversely influence chest wall development in the children.

Surgical angioplasty of the left main coronary artery in non-atherosclerotic lesions

TL;DR: The technique is described in five patients with non-atherosclerotic disease of the left main coronary artery: three children who had undergone an arterial switch operation shortly after birth, and two adults with post-radiation stenosis and a 53 year old man with acute dissection.
