The floating screed floor, which can be assembled from prefabricated screed-floor slabs (10), has a screed layer (24) of non-uniform thickness which is produced by projections (17) and depressions (22) on the upper side of a textured insulating slab (15) onto which the screed layer (24) is applied. As a result of the varying thickness of the screed layer (24) and the distribution of the thickness regions of this layer, the edges of the screed floor are prevented from bending during setting and drying-out of the screed layer (24).read more
