The trailer landing gear apparatus may be used for rotating a drive shaft of a landing gear or lifting gear of a land vehicle. There may be a drive shaft connector that may be attachable to a trailer drive shaft, A drive gear apparatus may be mounted on a rotary drive apparatus and a drive apparatus connector may be attached to a drive socket of the drive gear apparatus. The drive shaft may be rotated by positioning the drive apparatus connector on a connector shaft of the drive shaft connector. The rotary drive apparatus may then be operated to rotate the gear elements of the drive gear apparatus to rotate the drive shaft connector. The drive shaft connector may also have a hand crank handle attached to a sleeve for alternate use in drive shaft rotation.

A demountable unit frame for supporting any one of a variety of commercially available equipment units is provided for use on a motor truck chassis. The frame includes spaced and braced longitudinal frame structural members carrying coupling device components for attachment to the truck chassis and is provided with transversely arranged outrigger members equipped with a rotatable shaft capable of cooperative association with removable commercially available landing gear devices for mounting and demounting of the unit frame and equipment units and for temporarily supporting the same when they are not mounted on the truck chassis.

A rollover inhibitor to help prevent towed vehicles from rolling over while being towed in high winds. The device features a rotatable elongated member having a wheel on a distal end which engages to a frame mount adapted to engage the frame structure of towed vehicles such as mobile homes. When tipped by the wind, the wheel engaged to the member will prevent over rotation of the trailer around its axis and thereby inhibit the potential for rolling over. The wheel is spaced a distance from the road surface so as to only contact it if the trailer tips past a predetermined point.

A method and apparatus for retracting a support leg includes a telescoping inner leg member contained in an outer leg member. A spring-loaded pin engages the inner leg member. To lower the leg, the spring-loaded pin is removed allowing the inner leg member to extend to a desired position. When in the desired position, the spring-loaded pin is released and the pin reengages the inner leg member. To raise the inner leg member, the spring-loaded pin is removed until a slidable trip member falls. The slidable trip member then blocks the spring-loaded pin from reengaging the inner leg member. The inner leg member is raised, the trip member lifted, and the inner leg member secured in a proper position for travel. The inner leg member can be raised by a cable attached to the inner leg member to allow one-handed operation of the entire system.
