Separation and Characterization of Block and Graft Copolymers by Thin-Layer Chromatography

TL;DR: In this paper, thin-layer chromatography (TLC) and its combination with gel permeation chromatography are discussed for characterization of block and graft copolymers, and two applications of TLC are described: one is to isolate side-chain polymers truely grafted on mother polymer chains, and the other to isolate true graftcopolymers from reaction products.
Journal ArticleDOI

Use of combined chromatographic methods including thin-layer chromatography for analysis of complex polymer systems. Determination of the polydispersity of block copolymers of styrene and methyl methacrylate by gel permeation, thin-layer and pyrolysis gas chromatography.

TL;DR: This investigation was based on a combination of highly effective fractionation by chromatographic methods with precise quantitative ratios obtained from Benoit's universal calibration graph and from determinations of the composition of the polymer fractions by PGC.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fractionation of Styrene—Acrylonitrile Copolymer by Column Adsorption Chromatography

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compared the chemical composition distribution determinations of styrene-acrylonitrile random copolymers by column adsorption chromatography and by thin layer chromatography at equivalent experimental conditions.
