Abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate drive circuit that stably turns on a switching element without varying a turn-on switching characteristic nor causing a power loss.SOLUTION: The gate drive circuit for applying a control signal from a control circuit to a gate of a switching element Q1 having a drain, source and gate and comprising a wide bandgap semiconductor to drive on/off the switching element comprises: a parallel circuit of a first capacitor C1 and a first resistance R1 connected between the control circuit and the gate of the switching element; and short circuit means S4 connected between the gate and source of the switching element to short-circuit the gate and source with a delay from an off signal of the control signal.
