TLDR
DMBA ( 7,12 -dimethylbenz[a]anthracene)-coated threads were placed in the vaginal fornix of 4–5 week-old ICR mice and a wide range of karyotypic composition was revealed, including a heterogeneous cell population with a majority of the metaphase plates containing four metacentric chromosomes.

Animal Models for Tumors of the Ovary and Uterus

TL;DR: The ultimate objective of animal studies of cancer is to achieve a better understanding of factors responsible for human disease in the hope that this may be ultimately eliminated or controlled.

Autoradiographic studies of experimentally induced atypias in the cervical epithelium of mice.

TL;DR: The autoradiographic pattern of the cervix epithelium after iterated application of the carcinogen 3,4-benzpyrene was investigated in 100 C57B1 mice and the labelling of superficial cells in moderate atypias suggests that, despite cytoplasmic maturation, their nuclei retained the property of less mature or of undifferentiated cells.

Cytogenetic studies on rat leukemia induced by pulse doses of 7,12-dimethylbenz(alpha)anthracene.

TL;DR: Cytogenetic studies were carried out on bone marrow and spleen cells of 40 rats of Long-Evans strain with primary leukemia induced by pulse doses of 7,12-dimethylbenz(α)anthracene, finding consistent chromosomal abnormalities, believed to be the first so far reported for an experimental leukemia.

Cytogenetic abnormalities in carcinoma-in-situ and dysplasias of the uterine cervix.

TL;DR: In view of the striking chromosomal abnormalities found in the cells of human carcinoma, it is of the greatest interest to know at what stage they arise, and some observations are presented in this paper.
