The invention relates to a management circuit for a voltage detection power supply and a control method thereof. The management circuit comprises an input voltage interface, an output voltage interface, a first resistor, a second resistor, a voltage detection chip and a switching power supply with a switch-off interface. The control method comprises the following steps of: adjusting the resistance values of the first resistor and the second resistor to set the acting voltage of the voltage detection chip; comparing an input voltage with the internal stable voltage of the voltage detection chip to control the voltage detection chip to output a signal; and converting the input voltage into a needed output voltage by using the switching power supply with the switch-off interface and controlling to output a power voltage according to a received specific signal. The defects of the conventional power supply design technology are considered comprehensively, and the voltage detection chip is matched with the switching power supply with the switch-off interface, therefore the utilization ratio of system power is increased, and the power consumption of a system is lowered. Meanwhile, the heat radiating capability of the entire system is enhanced, and the heat productivity of the system is lowered.read more
