Abstract
The invention discloses a method for automatically switching a WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) and an LTE (Long Term Evolution) network and a communication terminal. The method comprises the steps of receiving signal measurement parameters reported by the WLAN and the LTE network; obtaining preset information of a network priority, wherein the network priority is used for identifying the network preferentially used for bearing communication service when the WLAN and the LTE network coexist; and performing switching operation according to the signal measurement parameters and the preset information of network priorities. According to the method and the communication terminal, the network with relatively good network condition in the WLAN and the LTE network can be automatically selected for bearing IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) communication service, the communication service quality can be ensured, and the network connection efficiency can be improved.
