TLDR
In this article, a method for controlling a surface roughness of a steel band in a temper rolling which enables the surface roughs of the steel band to promptly and accurately enters into the target roughness limit at the time of performing the temper rolling with a rolling roll dull-processed, was proposed.Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a surface roughness of a steel band in a temper rolling which enables the surface roughness of the steel band to promptly and accurately enters into the target roughness limit at the time of performing the temper rolling with a rolling roll dull-processed even if the surface roughness of the steel band after the rolling deviates from the target roughness limit owing to the rolling roughness variation accompanying an increase of the rolling length. SOLUTION: When an actually measured surface roughness obtained through an actual measurement of the surface roughness after the rolling of the steel band deviates from the limit of the targeted steel surface roughness predetermined, elongation percentage is altered so that the roughness deviation between the upper limit value and the lower limit value of the range of the actual measurement of the surface roughness and the targeted steel surface roughness becomes zero.read more

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for tempering ultra-low roughness guide rail steel is presented, which comprises the steps of adjusting the rolling mode of a leveling machine to a constant rolling force mode when a steel coil reaches the leveling machine; when the machine is in the constant rolling forces mode, setting the starting rolling force of the machine as 2500-2800 KN; adjusting the tension value of front and rear tension rollers of the leveling machines; and setting the height of an inlet anti-wind anti-wrinkle roller of the level machine as 125-130 mm
