Method for quantitatively determining a particular substrate catalyzed by a multisubstrate enzyme
TLDR
In this article, a multisubstrate enzyme was incorporated into a thin layer electrochemical cell laminate having exterior membrane layers and an interior enzyme layer, and a control electrode located within the enzyme layer applied an electrical potential to the enzyme.Abstract:
A method for control of relative enzyme activity for analytical purposes. The activity of a multisubstrate enzyme may be controlled as a function of the electrical potential applied to the enzyme. The enzyme is preferrably incorporated into a thin layer electrochemical cell laminate having exterior membrane layers and an interior enzyme layer. A control electrode located within the enzyme layer applies an electrical potential to the enzyme. An intermediate electron transfer agent may be used to transfer electrons to and from the enzyme and the control electrode.read more

Membrane for enzyme electrodes
TL;DR: A laminated membrane for use with an enzyme electrode without the need for use of a compensating electrode was proposed in this paper, which consists of essentially homogeneous material such as cellulose acetate or silicone rubber which will prevent passage of even low molecular weight interfering materials, an adhesive layer of the enzyme itself (with or without other materials that may be blended with it), and a layer of support film which will also prevent the passage of high molecular weight interference materials.

Method and apparatus for continuously controlling an enzymatic reaction
TL;DR: In this article, a control method and apparatus for carrying out enzymatic reactions at a constant rate is described. But this method requires the enzyme to be fixed on a solid electronically conductive support.

Method and apparatus for governing the reaction rate of enzymatic reactions
TL;DR: In this article, the potential of the enzyme support is adjusted by adjusting the mean value of the potential to maintain a corresponding mean enzymatic activity for transforming the substrate at a desired rate.

Method for measuring substrate concentrations
TL;DR: In this article, the concentration of substrates of enzyme reactions is measured by determining the current produced at an platinum or gold electrode by oxidizing an acceptor utilizing a measuring device comprising a measuring cell, an enzyme electrode in contact with the fluid sample and containing a reference electrode.
