Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a auxiliary fuel composition for cement firing having thixotropic properties which exhibits a high viscosity at zero to a low shear rate to control settling and surfacing of constituting components and exhibits a low viscosity at a high shear rate exceeding the above region to easily enable pipe transportation and spraying combustion. SOLUTION: With the use of a multi-axial agitator provided with a measuring instrument of the agitation power of each axis, and agitating blades which preferably have a ratio of the number of revolutions of the number of revolutions at high-speed rotation to that at low-speed rotation of not less than ten times and, at the same time, can independently change the number of revolutions and the direction of rotation of each blade, the agitation power is measured while agitating the supplied fuel composition to obtain the apparent viscosity this fuel composition corresponding to the agitation power, and the thixotropic properties are determined and adjusted.
