Printed circuits are produced by screen printing or the like to deposit conductors, resistors, capacitors and insulators. Crossover connections are made by covering the conducting portions to be crossed with an insulating material that serves as a base for a printed crossing conductor. The equivalent of multilayer boards can be achieved by printing repeated layers of conductors, components and insulators on the same side of the board, or by printing on two sides of a board. Interconnection between adjacent layers can be made as a part of the printing process. A method of making a printed circuit board comprises applying a first and second coating in a desired pattern to a substrate, the substrate (12) being disposed in a different relationship to coating apparatus used in applying a second coating from the relationship in which it is disposed in applying the first coating. Preferably a number of identical boards are printed on a substrate (12) from which they are subsequently separated. The individual boards are positioned such that the same pattern may be applied when the substrate (12) is presented to coating means in any of a number of orientations each separated from the next by a fixed angle of rotation about an axis (A) at right angles to the substrate (12), the first coating being applied in one such orientation and the second after the screen and substrate respectively have been rotated in opposite direction, (S,B) each through 90°.

A general-purpose device of different sizes so as to accommodate use by a person, primarily, in the altering of, and the making of, all or part of a tissue paper pattern. The device is comprised of a sheet made of tissue paper material (1) on which one side of the sheet comprises a series of straight lines ruled equal distance apart vertically (2) and horizontally (3). Some of the vertical (4) and horizontal (5) lines may, at certain intervals, be more heavily marked than the rest of the lines and so stand out from the rest of the lines thereby facilitating measuring. These heavier marked lines may be numbered consecutively vertically (6) and horizontally (7) when there is a need or demand, or both, by the public for such numbering.

Tissue pattern paper

Display equipment gives a representation of a three-dimensional body. A series of spaced apart panels (28) are mounted to a support structure (30). Each panel (28) carries representations (40) of parts of the three-dimensional body which occur in the plane occupied by the panel. The panels are transparent or open to allow the representations carried by the different panels to be simultaneously viewed by light passing through the panels, thereby giving the effect of seeing the three-dimensional body. The equipment can be used to give a three-dimension view of the interior structure of human or animal bodies by providing cross-sectional representations of the body on the panels.

Multi-dimensional display equipment

An insulating panel for buildings has an insulating core with one face imprinted with a grid pattern and a multiplicity of rectilinear lines radiating from one corner and defining increasing included angles relative to the base side of the panel which corresponds to pitch lines of roofs. The pitch line of a roof may be determined, and then the equivalent angular line located on the printed face. The panel may be cut along this line to abut closely the structural member of the roof extending at that angle. Vertical and horizontal measurements of the space in which the panel is to be fitted can be readily transposed to the grid pattern for making perpendicular or horizontal cuts therealong. The panel is conveniently formed by imprinting a facing sheet member and securing it to a synthetic resin core member.
