Moulded concrete panel for dry screed or floor covering

The floor slab, made of concrete or similar material, is suitable for laying as a dry floor finish. This can be quickly and easily laid, with bonding material flowing into the grooves, and with edge slabs easily made in the desired size. It has a peripheral groove (1) running all round in its lateral edges, and dividing gaps (2) in its upper side. The groove can be at centre height, and takes up about a third of the width. The gaps are parallel and evenly spaced, with the width of their base (3) the same as the width of the intervening stems (4), while the depth is about half the slab thickness.

The covering plate has a blind, groove-like joint running either longitudinally or crossways from the upper side of the elements downwards, which is formed in stretches down to the bottom side. At its other sections it forms a connection bar separated from the bottom side. A connection bar extends upwards to approximately half the thickness of the plate(s) from the bottom side which may be essentially triangular in shape, one of the sides of the triangle resting on the bottom side of the element. The covering plate is so designed that any tendency to fracture during transportation is avoided.
