espanolEste Articulo de investigacion analiza la cultura politica que se gesto en el noroeste de Yucatan durante el Segundo Imperio Mexicano (1863-1867), observando las formas de participacion politica de los ayuntamientos, de las altas autoridades de gobierno y de inversores interesados en producir en la Peninsula. Se muestra que, aunque no existio una politica de gobierno transversal, incluyente y compacta, los diversos actores sociales si contribuyeron a la consolidacion del Segundo Imperio en Yucatan mediante una serie de practicas politicas, tanto locales como regionales, mediadas por los agentes de Estado y ligadas a una fuerte autoridad centralizada. EnglishThis Research Article examines the political culture developed in northwest of Yucatan during the Second Mexican Empire (1863-1867), analyzing the ways of political participation of local and high government authorities, as well as investors interested in the Peninsula’s production. This Research Article shows that, even though there was not an inclusive and compact government policy, different social actors contributed to consolidation of the Second Mexican Empire in Yucatan through political practices, both local and regional, mediated by State agents and linked to a strong centralized authority.
