Abstract: About the Speaker Former California Assemblyman and attorney Charles R. lmbrecht was appointed in 1983 by Governor George Deukmejian as Chairman of the California Energy Commission and was reappointed and unanimously reconfirmed in January 1988. Governor Pete Wilson reappointed him as Energy Commission Chairman for a 2-year term in February 1991, his fifth consecutive term as Chairman. He also serves as the Governor’s principal advisor on energy affairs.
