Abstract
RESUMEParce que le Nigeria est le huitieme plus grand producteur de petrole dans le monde et le plus puissant Etat de l'Afrique noire, l'etude du developpement de ses relations internationales est importante. L'opposition morale aux regimes coloniaux et minoritaires de l'Afrique australe fut notamment renforcie au moment de la guerre civile de 1967–70 par la conviction que les regimes blancs en Afrique australe pouvaient constituer une menace directe pour la securite du Nigeria.Pour le Nigeria, la liberation de l'Afrique australe signifie l'etablissement de gouvernements nationaux reellement representatifs sans consideration des classes sociales et des questions ideologiques.Les moyens adoptes par le Nigeria pour promouvoir la liberation de l'Afrique australe ont varie tres peu dans leur essence, mais les gouvernements nigerians successifs ont applique les methodes choisies avec une determination croissante.
