TLDR
In this article, a scheme for a decentralized controller based on the modelling of interaction in large interconnected power systems is proposed. But the performance of the proposed decentralized controller is comparable to that of a centralized controller.
Abstract
In this paper a scheme for a decentralized controller based on the modelling of interaction in large interconnected power systems is proposed. An example of a two-area power system is presented to illustrate the application of the proposed design procedure in both the continuous-time and discrete-time case. The computer simulation results revealed that the performance of the proposed decentralized controller is comparable to that of a centralized controller.

Chapter 3 – Optimization

TL;DR: This chapter goes through the steps that one typically takes to optimize a CUDA Fortran application, and discusses at length how to efficiently access data from kernels, including topics of global memory data coalescing, use of on-chip shared memory, and the read-only constant and texture memories.

Reduced-order observers for multivariable systems with inaccessible disturbance inputs

TL;DR: In this paper, the problem of observing the state vector of a multivariable system subjected to inaccessible inputs is considered using a polynomial-type approximation for these inputs, a set of necessary and sufficient conditions that can be readily applied to determine the existence of an observer is obtained.

Stabilization of linear multivariable systems by output feedback

TL;DR: Absfract-A method is developed for improving the stability of linear multivariable systems using output feedback using a gradient approach, which has been mechanized in a digital computer program.
