Optimized machine learning models for natural fractures prediction using conventional well logs

TLDR
In this article , the authors developed and applied hybrid ML-optimizer models to a large, high-resolution, dataset (10 petrophysical variables; 3395 data records; ∼12% of the records displaying fractures) from the Asmari fractured carbonate reservoir in Iran's Marun oil and gas field.

Prediction of fracture density in a gas reservoir using robust computational approaches

TL;DR: In this article , four hybrid machine learning models were used for predicting the fracture density (FVDC) of a gas reservoir in Southwest Asia, including least squares support vector machine (LSSVM), multi-layer perceptron (MLP) and genetic algorithm (GA).

Optimizing the evaluation model of green building management based on the concept of urban ecology and environment

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper proposed a reciprocal symbiosis evaluation index model based on the theory of urban ecology to improve the management level of green buildings in the urbanization process, and the green building management framework based on collaborative theory is constructed.

Effect of indoor surfaces’ spectral reflectance on the environmental light spectrum modification and on objects perceived color

TL;DR: In this paper , the effect of diffuse Lambertian reflection from the walls with different spectral reflectance functions on indoor lighting has been investigated, and the relative importance of the two factors (light sources and properties of the walls) has been evaluated through numerical simulations.

Artificial recharge of groundwater: hydrogeology and engineering

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a system for artificial recharge of groundwater, which is achieved by putting surface water in basins, furrows, ditches, or other facilities where it infiltrates into the soil and moves downward to recharge aquifers.

Fracture development in shale and its relationship to gas accumulation

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors showed a good correlation between fracture development in shale and the volume of brittle minerals present, i.e., the better shale fractures are developed, the greater the gas accumulation and therefore the higher the gas production.

Prediction of fracture parameters of concrete by Artificial Neural Networks

TL;DR: In this paper, a two-parameter model for the fracture of cementitious materials is modelled with a back-propagation ANN and the results of the ANN-based model look viable and very promising.
