TL;DR: In this paper, the potential of conventional powder metallurgical methods for the production of a bearing metal made from mixtures of elemental iron and lead powders has been assessed and the effect of small additions of tin on the mechanical and wear properties of the optimum iron-lead mixture were investigated.
