Preparation of discontinuous fiber reinforced elastomer

TLDR
Bonded composites of discontinuous organic fiber and vulcanized matrix are prepared by treating the fiber to reduce fiber to fiber interaction, dispersing the treated fiber and bonding ingredients into vulcanizable elastomeric matrix, and positioning the fiber therein taking suitable precautions to minimize fiber breakage during the dispersing and positioning of the fiber, and then vulcanizing the mixture to produce a bonded composite in which the organic fiber has an aspect ratio of at least about 20 but not more than about 350 as mentioned in this paper.

System for making synthetic wood products from recycled materials

TL;DR: In this article, a system for making synthetic wood products from waste wood fiber and recycled plastic material by mixing waste wood fibre having a moisture content less than about 15% with dry waste plastic material, including low density and/or high density polyethylene, is presented.
Patent

Coated fiber product with adhered super absorbent particles

TL;DR: In this paper, a binder may be present at an amount which is sufficient to substantially continuously coat the fibers and the binder material may be heat fusible or heat curable and the treated fibers mixed with other fibers for use in producing a wide variety of products.
