The present invention relates to a process and a device for determining the roll angle in a launchable body. An inducing field in a launcher is detected in the launchable body and the launcher communicates with the launchable body during its motion from the launching tube of the launcher to its target with the use of a carrier-wave signal. By determining the angular position of the launchable body at the moment of launch through detection of inducing fields having known directions and keeping track of the minima of the carrier-wave signal, the roll angle of the launchable body is unambiguously determined.read more
