Process and device for the mechanical spraying of liquids
TLDR
In this paper, the formation of a downwardly flowing liquid film is effected on the slanted surface of the downwardly widening mouthpiece of an air supply line, which mouthpiece points downwards and the breakup of the film at an annular edge of the mouthpiece by an airstream which escapes under slight excess pressure from the interior of the at least approximately cone-shaped hollow space inside the mouth, whereby the film is atomized in the form of an essentially vertically downwardly directed spray cone.Abstract:
A process and device for the mechanical formation of aerosols are disclosed, whereby the formation of a downwardly flowing liquid film is effected on the slanted surface of a downwardly widening mouthpiece of an air supply line, which mouthpiece points downwards and the breakup of the film at an annular edge of the mouthpiece by an airstream which escapes under slight excess pressure from the interior of the at least approximately cone-shaped hollow space inside the mouthpiece, whereby the film is atomized in the form of an essentially vertically downwardly directed spray cone. A limiting body may be inserted in the mouthpiece to direct the airstream essentially entirely toward the interrupting edge of the mouthpiece.read more

Burner and method
TL;DR: In this article, a multi-fuel industrial heating burner with an exhaust velocity of about 15,000 feet per minute is described, where the fuel is first burned in a swirling toroidal recirculation zone and flows into the burner tile and shear mixes with a counter-swirling flow of combustion air flowing along the burner tiles.

Systems and methods for applying texture material to ceiling surfaces
TL;DR: In this paper, a method of dispensing sprayable material in a desired spray pattern using an actuator member, a resilient outlet member, and a movable member was proposed.
Patent
Actuator systems and methods for aerosol wall texturing
Donald J. Stern,James A. Tryon +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a system for dispensing texture material consisting of a main container, an outlet assembly, and an aerosol valve assembly is presented, where the texture material forced out of the main container is deposited on the target surface in the desired pattern.
