TLDR
In this paper, a mixture of a lime material and a siliceous material containing 10 to 40% by weight of alumina is mixed with an alkali solution, and the mixture is subjected to hydrothermal reaction with saturated water vapor at 4 to 40 kg/cm2 to form tobermorite.
Abstract
A lime material and a siliceous material containing 10 to 40% by weight of alumina are admixed with an alkali solution, and the mixture is subjected to hydrothermal reaction with saturated water vapor at 4 to 40 kg/cm2 to form tobermorite. The reaction mixture is filtered to separate the tobermorite therefrom. A lime material and a gypsum material are added to the resulting filtrate, and the mixture is reacted at room temperature to a temperature of 90° C. to form ettringite. The alkali filtrate separated from the ettringite is reused for the production of tobermorite.

Fire-resistant composition, panel and external wall for various buildings

TL;DR: In this article, a fire resistant composition for forming a fire resisting lining is characteristically and substantially composed of ettringite contained as a main ingredient, and a groove-shaped cavity appearing between the adjacent lining edges facing one another is filled with a caulking material, so that the fire resistance afforded by the composition and the panels is further enhanced.

Process for producing xonotlite type hydrous calcium silicate

TL;DR: In this article, a hydrous calcium silicate compsed preponderantly of xonotlite of the shape of rod crystals is produced by adding 0.05 to 3 percent by weight of an alkali to a substantially equimolar mixed slurry of silicic acid and calcium oxide and subjecting the resultant mixture to hydrothermal reaction at 200 DEG to 250 DEG C under the pressure of saturated steam.
