Process for purification of gases and exhaust gases

TLDR
In this paper, a method for purifying gases and waste gases of acidifying gases, such as hydrogen chloride, hydrogen fluoride, sulfur dioxide and hydrogen cyanide, nitrogen oxides, hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydro-carbons and volatile heavy metals such as mercury, arsenic, antimony, cadmium and thallium, is described.
Abstract
The invention relates to a method for purifying gases and waste gases of acidifying gases, such as hydrogen chloride, hydrogen fluoride, sulfur dioxide and hydrogen cyanide, nitrogen oxides, hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, organic compounds and volatile heavy metals such as mercury, arsenic, antimony, cadmium and thallium. The gas or waste gas stream calcium hydroxide is admixed to the process was the added after deleting quicklime activated carbon, Braunkohlenherdofenkoks, activated alumina and / or silica gel. The purification is carried out in a temperature range from 20 to 1200 degrees, and the deposition of the solids takes place at Staubabscheidevorrichtungen.

Process for separating acid polluting gas and combustion plant

TL;DR: In this paper, a twin stage sorption process with different sorbents in different temperature ranges, for example 1,000oC and 400oC, is proposed to separate noxious substances from flue gas after combustion plants, where a substantial cooling of the fumes between the two sorbent supply points and a separation of the first sorption agent already used are considered as important steps, so that a cost reduction of the sorption agents and of the absolute amounts of sorbent, as well as a separation degree comparable to that of a wet process method are obtained.

Process for preparing finely divided calcium hydroxide

TL;DR: The preparation of finely divided calcium hydroxide starts in a manner known per se from quicklime (calcium oxide) which is reacted to calcinedime (slaked lime) in a conventional slaking apparatus by means of water and additives, with the additives used being, on the one hand, sugar or sugar-containing compounds to achieve a high specific surface area and on the other hand, glycols, amines and other milling aids to increase the flowability of the calcinedite powder formed as mentioned in this paper.
