Abstract
The author investigates reasons for repeat and return migration in the United States according to number recency and outcome of previous moves. An extended human capital model of migration is discussed in which the concepts of location-specific capital and information costs are considered. Six hypotheses are then formulated and tested in an attempt to discover a systematic pattern of multiple movement propensities (ANNOTATION)
