CONSTITUTION:When an AC input is recovered, a voltage inclining circuit 13 gradually rises the input of the second A/D converter 9, and gradually increases an output voltage command signal. When the output of a current detector 14 exceeds an overcurrent limit value, the increase of the output voltage command signal is temporarily stopped, and a switch 15 grounds the input of an accelerator/decelerator 7 to gradually reduce the output frequency signal generated form the first A/D converter 8. The motor is accelerated on the basis of a predetermined acceleration/deceleration slope signal from when the rotating speed of the motor coincides with the output frequency of an inverter.

PURPOSE:To obtain the clean high vacuum by a method wherein a hydrogen occluding material is placed at the side of a back pressure of a turbo particle pump, the hydrogen at the back pressure side is absorbed by the hydrogen occluding material to reduce the partial hydrogen pressure at the back pressure side and the arriving degree of vacuum of the turbo particle pump is increased. CONSTITUTION:The discharging port of the turbo particle pump 1 is extended by a flexible tube 2 to connect the port to a cartridge 3 filled with the hydrogen occluding alloy such as ZrVFe, TiZrFe2 or the like and the cartridge is connected to the suction side of an auxiliary pump such as an oil rotating pump 4, for example. The tightly enclosed space 5 of a vessel or the like to be evacuated is connected to the suction side 1a of the turbo particle pump 1. According to this method, the hydrogen in the back pressure side is absorbed into the hydrogen occluding material to reduce the partial hydrogen pressure at the back pressure side and the arriving degree of vacuum of the turbo particle pump 1 may be increased. Accordingly, the clean high vacuum may be obtained and an arrival time to the vacuum may be shortened.
