The roller bearing cage (1) has a metallic carrier (3) with sections (11) distributed over the circumference and plastic inserts (12) accommodated in the sections in a loss-proof manner. The carrier is formed of two layers (4,5) of circular segment-shaped band segments (6,7,8). The band segments of the former layer are displaced opposite to the band segments of the latter layer with respect to their front-sided ends (9,10) in the circumferential direction.
