TLDR
In this article, a single-mode laser provided with a folded optical resonator is described. But the device is intended for use e.g. in ophthalmology or elsewhere where the laser pulses characterized above are required.
Abstract
The invention relates to a single-mode laser provided with a folded optical resonator, comprising a laser rod 1, resonator mirrors 3A, 3B deposited by evaporation on a single mirror plate 3, a stop 6 provided with two separate apertures 6A, 6B which are overlapped by the laser rod 1 when they are viewed along it and which are located so that the rays traversing the aperture 6A or 6B towards the resonator mirrors 3A, 3B, respectively, completely impinge only on the high reflecting resonator mirror 3A or on the semitransparent resonator mirror 3B, a foil Q-switch 5 and a reversing prism 4. The device according to the invention is compact, of moderate price and is provided with a dynamically stable optical resonator, it generating single-mode laser pulses with a divergence below 2 mrad, but with an energy about 15 mJ and with a width about 10 nsec. The device according to the invention is intended for use e.g. in ophthalmology or elsewhere where the laser pulses characterized above are required.

Monolithic solid state laser apparatus

TL;DR: In this paper, a solid-state active element with a back reflector and an output coupler is provided, where light induced in the cavity forms two parallel beams passing therethrough, by means of a first beam which is reflected by the back reflectors towards a first of the perpendicularly disposed surfaces and being folded to pass on to the second surface, to further fold and to proceed towards the first edge.

Laser mode control using external inverse cavity

TL;DR: In this article, a laser mode control system for suppressing anti-symmetric resonance modes of a beam of radiation in a laser resonator cavity is proposed, which includes a main cavity with at least one exit plane at the first end of the cavity and an external cavity located outside of the main cavity and adjacent to the exit plane.

Lengthening the path of a laser beam in a monolothic solid state laser apparatus

TL;DR: In this article, a solid state laser device with a double slope portion defining a right angle between the slopes is presented, where the pump light beam is directed into one of the slopes, and where an output coupler configured to output a laser beam from the active element is located on a portion of active element, opposite of the double slopes portion.

Laser with two reflectors forming optical resonator - has both reflectors on common support opposite one laser medium face, with specified reflector axes

TL;DR: In this article, the common support of the laser reflectors is mounted opposite a face of a laser medium, such that one reflector (3) optical axis coincides with that of the light medium (rod) while the other reflector(4) is offset to be parallel to the first axis, which forms a reference for the reflexion planes of the reflectors.
