Method for viscosity reduction of clogging hydrocarbons in oil well

Meeks Thomas
TL;DR: In this paper, a tube type heat exchanger enabling heated gases to pass through feed water coils was used to heat the water to a predetermined temperature and at a pressure which prevented any flashing or phase change of the feed water within the heat exchange.

Method for disposal of produced water

TL;DR: A method and apparatus useful for disposing of the high volumes of produced water associated with coal bed methane natural gas wells is described in this article, which utilizes the available field gas to produce heat for enhancing evaporation and drive a steam turbine generator to produce electrical power.

General method for disposal of produced water

TL;DR: In this paper, a method and apparatus useful for disposing of high volumes of produced water associated with coal bed methane natural gas wells is described, which utilizes available heat energy sources to produce heat for enhancing water evaporation rates and may incorporate a pre-heater system or a mineral separation system.

Minimizing fouling in steam assisted oil production

TL;DR: In this paper, the use of wire matrix turbulators in tubes with tendency to foul is discussed. But this is restricted to heavy oil recovery operations, where fouling is limited by the wire matrix.

Small supercritical once-thru steam generator

Abstract: A small supercritical once-through steam generator (OTSG) includes a radiant section with a furnace coil, and a convection section downstream of the radiant section that includes a superheater which is fluidically connected to the furnace coil. Optionally, the OTSG is devoid of a steam separator. An economizer can also be included downstream of the superheater. Supercritical steam can be generated using the OTSG, for use, among other things, in enhanced oil recovery applications.
