Hydrogen embrittlement susceptibility and permeability of two ultra-high strength steels
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of hydrogen embrittlement on notched tensile strength and fracture characteristics of two ultra-high strength steels (PH 13-8 Mo stainless steel and T-200 maraging steel) was determined by an electrochemical permeation method.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of aging treatment on hydrogen embrittlement of PH 13-8 Mo martensite stainless steel
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of aging treatment on hydrogen embrittlement of PH 13-8 Mo steel was investigated by tensile tests, and the results showed that hydrogen slightly increases the tensile strength of the steel at high tensile rate (20mm/min), but decreases the strength at low tensile rates (0.5mm/mm) and 0.03 mm/min).

Embrittlement of laser surface-annealed 17-4 PH stainless steel
Leu-Wen Tsay,T.Y Yang,M.C Young +2 more
TL;DR: In this article, Zhao et al. determined stress corrosion cracking and fatigue crack growth behavior in 17-4 PH stainless steel under various metallurgical conditions, including the H900 (482°C/1 h), H1025 (552°c/4 h) aging and laser surface annealing treatments.
Journal ArticleDOI
The influence of aging treatments on sulfide stress corrosion cracking of PH 13-8 Mo steel welds
TL;DR: In this paper, a slow displacement rate tensile test was carried out to study sulfide stress corrosion cracking (SSCC) of PH 13-8 Mo stainless steel welds in a saturated H 2 S solution.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gaseous hydrogen embrittlement of PH 13-8 Mo steel
TL;DR: In this paper, notched tensile and fatigue crack growth tests in gaseous hydrogen were performed on PH 13-8 Mo stainless steel specimens at room temperature, and the same fracture mechanism could be applied to these two different types of specimens, regardless of the loading conditions.
