TL;DR: Examination of the biology of marine and freshwater invertebrates that are important as fisheries or in aquaculture, including commercial sponges and pearl oysters, will be included.
Journal ArticleDOI
Palaeogeography of Atlantic Canada 13–0 kyr
TL;DR: In this article, isobase maps were combined with a digital terrain model of Atlantic Canada to map coastlines from 13 14C-kyr-BP to the present, revealing an archipelago on the outer shelf, from Grand Bank to the continent, that persisted from >13 14C −kyr −BP until ca. 8 14C−kyr−BP.
Journal ArticleDOI
A comparison of observed and theoretical postglacial relative sea level in Atlantic Canada
TL;DR: In this article, two extreme models of late Wisconsinan ice cover in Atlantic Canada and the northeastern U.S.A. are shown to produce postglacial relative sea level curves that bracket existing field observations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Large-scale bedforms as indicators of mutually evasive sand transport and the sequential infilling of wide-mouthed estuaries
TL;DR: In this paper, a review of data on directions of sand transport from the Bristol Channel and Thames Estuary, U.K., and from Moreton Bay, Australia, charts of ebb and flood-dominant transport zones are constructed for lower estuarine environments which have undergone different degrees of infilling.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bedforms of the Canadian eastern seaboard: A comparison with global occurrences
Carl L. Amos,Edward L. King +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a compilation of sedimentary bedforms identified from acoustic and seismic records collected over the southeastern Canadian continental shelf is presented, and a metrical analysis of the various bedforms show that a differentiation into stable bed phases can be made using heightlength ratios provided the bedforms are active and fully developed.
