Roberto Gerhard´s tape collection: the electronic music

TL;DR: Gerhard was one of the first composers to set up a studio in the United Kingdom and to have started incorporating magnetic tape sounds in his music as discussed by the authors, but the full significance of his electronic production, over 20 compositions including music for theatre and film, sound compositions for radio drama, radiophonic poetry, mixed works for instruments and tape, sounding sculptures, or even a live-electronic performance in the style of John Cage is yet to be brought into context.
