Journal ArticleDOI

Climate regulates the erosional carbon export from the terrestrial biosphere

TL;DR: In this paper, geochemical (δ13C, 14C and C/N), hydrometric (water discharge, suspended sediment concentration) and geomorphic (slope) measurements are combined from 33 globally-distributed forested mountain catchments.
Dissertation

Advancing methods for apportioning the sources of sediment in rivers : combining spectroscopy and stable isotopes with Bayesian mixing models

TL;DR: In this article, a combined X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRFS) and diffuse reflectance infra-red Fourier transform spectroscope (DRIFTS) approach is developed to rapidly, accurately and non-destructively analyse suspended particulate matter (SPM) geochemistry directly from sediment covered quartz fibre filter (QFF) papers at masses as low as 3 mg.

Linking dissolved organic matter composition to stream ecosystem metabolism across a land-use gradient

Thomas Fuss
TL;DR: In this article, the authors untersuchte Auswirkungen der Landnutzung auf die DOM-Zusammensetzung and Nahrstoff-and Kohlenstoffkonzentrationen im Fliesgewasser and stellte dies in Bezug zum Metabolismus des gesamten Flies-gewassers, d.h. Bruttoprimarproduktion (BPP) and Gesamtrespiration des Okosystems.
