PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coating material composition for a precoated steel sheet that is excellent in chemical resistance, hardness of a coating film, stain resistance against raindrop contaminant, processability, appearance of coated film, storage stability and coating workability, and to provide a method for coating finishing using the composition and a coated article using the same SOLUTION: The coating material composition is a thermosetting resin composition which comprises as essential components (A) a resin having a hydroxy group of a 5-200 mg/g hydroxyl value and whose number average molecular weight is 500-20,000, (B) an amino-resin curing agent reactive with the resin (A), (C) a condensate or a partially hydrolyzed product of the condensate of an organo silicate represented by the formula; (R 1 ) m -Si-(OR 2 ) n , wherein R 1 is phenyl group or an 1-18C alkyl group, R 2 is a 1-6C alkyl group, (m) is an integer of 0-1, (n) is an integer of 3-4 and m+n is 4, and (D) a sulfonic acid blocked with an epoxy group COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPIread more
