Violência obstétrica: revisão integrativa de pesquisas qualitativas

TLDR
Patients with chronic kidney disease on hemodialysis make use of spiritual/religious coping positively and significantly; likewise, they regard religion/spirituality as important in their lives.
Abstract
Objective: To describe how factors that affect delivery care practices interfere with the delivery experience and with the birth.Synthesis of content: This is an integrative review of qualitativeresearch. Drawing from selected databases searches, 17 051 articles were found, from which 54 were chosen using predefined criteria. In accordance with the analysis of the selected studies, four categories emerged, as follows: Contemporary preconceptions about normal delivery and cesarean, Unfavorable factors to experience successfully the delivery, Trivialization of obstetric violence, and Assumptions about delivery humanized care. The results suggested that delivery care practices were out of date, inappropriate, seen as“normal”, and marked by authoritarianism and by disrespect for women: these behaviors depict obstetric violence. On the other hand, the humanized model, appreciating the role of women, makes delivery experience most pleasing. Conclusion: Patients with chronic kidney disease on hemodialysis make use of spiritual/religious coping positively and significantly; likewise, they regard religion/spirituality as important in their lives.
