They also believe that one way to do this is through increasing access to broadband Internet.
This indicates that a large percentage of Taiwan's students can access the Internet on their smart phones, use social networking sites, and connect themselves wirelessly.

It doesn't matter how we connect the home; we'll see a broadband gateway in the home, much like today's office that has a broadband router connected to the Internet.
Ubiquitous Internet connectivity is to connect all devices to the Internet at any time and any place To achieve this ubiquitous Internet connectivity, we consider integrating the Internet and mobile ad-hoc networks One of the most important issues in the ubiquitous Internet connectivity is to find an efficient and reliable Internet gateway We propose a load-adaptive Internet gateway discovery approach that can exploit network conditions The load-adaptive Internet gateway discovery scheme dynamically adjusts a proactive area according to network traffic Among the candidates, a serving gateway is selected based on offered load The simulation results show that our discovery scheme outperforms existing discovery schemes.

The use of the public internet to connect the femtocell base station with the mobile core network will contribute to higher latency if such legacy handover procedures are employed over femtocells.
In terms of performance, our results show how new generation Internet satellite services are a promising way to provide broadband Internet connection to users.
This paper describes a new dynamic gateway method which can be used to connect a MANET to the Internet.
We show how this concept maps intuitively to the Internet model which makes a protocol-independent deployment of applications feasible in the future Internet.
With some upgrades, however, the Internet-on-TV technology holds some promise for connecting underserved children who lack resources to connect from home in any other way.
