We propose Mobile Password Authentication (MP-Auth) to counter such attacks, which cryptographically separates a user's long-term secret input from the client PC, and offers transaction integrity.
Our approach makes it difficult for attackers to observe a user's password by requiring the user to locate his or her password in the given password grid instead of entering the password (Figure 1).
In this work, we propose a mechanism that increases the password strength on the client side.
Furthermore, our scheme gives freedom to a user to choose his own password and flexibility to change his password whenever he desires.
The use of graphical password as an alternate to the textual passwords for user authentication can be an efficient strategy.
The combination can be adapted to support a panic password which allows the client to notify the server in case of emergency.
The proposed method with a volatile time/location-based password features more secure and more convenient for user authentication.
The password is user-friendly, quick and easy to compute, and more secure.

We provide a simple yet powerful demonstration of how an unobtrusive change to a graphical password interface can modify the distribution of user chosen passwords, and thus possibly the security it provides.
It is important that people increase the password strength on the client side.
The proposed Coin Passcode model simplifies the complex user interface issues that previous graphical password models have, which work as a swift passcode security mechanism for mobile devices.
It supports client-independent updates, i. e., the server can increase the security parameters by updating the existing password hashes without knowing the password.

Password resetting can be done seamlessly and transparently without the need for additional client software.
The proposed methodology can significantly improve the security of the graphical password system with no cost increase in terms of unlocking time.
Our results quantitatively support suggestions that user-drawn graphical password systems employ measures, such as graphical password rules or guidelines and proactive password checking.
