A comprehensive sample of confiscated doping products was analyzed, allowing for monitoring of developments regarding the use of doping substances in Switzerland and for anticipating future trends and challenges in sports drug testing.
These results indicate that the groups of banned substances more commonly detected in anti-doping control tests were different depending on the sports discipline.

The results show a growing public awareness for doping issues and increasing support for a comprehensive anti-doping strategy in Switzerland.

The results may provide a contribution for further research on doping as well as for policymakers in the fight against doping in sport (both medical and financial).
