Abstract: The optimal linear feedback control law of a class of distributed-parameter systems with space-independent controls is obtained by using a conjecture. This conjecture overcomes the disadvantage of the conjecture proposed by Koppel el al. (1968), and the conjecture proposed by Denn (1968).
