TL;DR: In this paper, a disk loading apparatus is provided which stops disks, even if the disks have different diameters, when disk center holes have been ejected to the substantially same positions out of an apparatus body during the ejection.
Abstract: A disk loading apparatus is provided which stops disks, even if the disks have different diameters, when disk center holes have been ejected to the substantially same positions out of an apparatus body during the ejection. The disks can be pulled out without soiling a recording surface of the disk. One disk-pass detecting switch detects a pass of the last end of each disk and discriminates sizes of the disks. In addition, a rotation time of a roller after the detection of the pass is controlled depending on disk diameters.

TL;DR: In this article, the insertion of an irregular shaped disks such as a star into the disk unit was detected by detecting the abnormal disk insertion of a star disk into a disk unit.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage to a disk and failure in a disk unit of a slot loading system by detecting the abnormal disk insertion of an irregular shaped disks such as a star into the disk unit. SOLUTION: Operation abnormalities during disk loading are determined based on the state transition processes of switching parts for position detection or sensor parts which change states when the optical disk is moved by the rotation of a roller for disk loading. An operation is determined abnormal (S7), for example, when the switching parts other than a switching part 6 or the sensor parts are shifted to ON (S5) or when the switching part 6 is not shifted on ON over a predetermined time limit (a) (S6) after a switching part 5 is shifted to ON (S1).

TL;DR: In this article, a disk loading device which can lock, with a simple constitution, a base 17 supported in a main body 11 in a floating state was provided. But the disk loading mechanism was not considered.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk loading device which can lock, with a simple constitution, a base 17 supported in a main body 11 in a floating state. SOLUTION: A first slider 101, a chuck arm 65, and a loading roller support 46 are provided to a base 17. The first slider 101 can move to a first position and a second position. In the first position, the chucking of the disk by a chuck arm 65 is canceled, and a loading roller 43 is moved to the contact position with the disk. In the second position, the disk is chucked by the chuck arm 65, and the loading roller 43 is moved to the separating position with the disk. When the first slider 101 moves to the first position, the first slider 101, the chuck arm 65 and a loading roller support 46 abut on the main body 11 and lock the base 17 on the main body 11. TL;DR: In this paper, a disk tray is provided to minimize fluid noise caused by fast rotation of a disk by forming plural air flow holes at the front end of the disk tray body to flow a vortex generated by rotating the disk smoothly.
Abstract: PURPOSE: A disk tray is provided to minimize fluid noise caused by fast rotation of a disk by forming plural air flow holes at the front end of a disk tray body to flow a vortex generated by rotating the disk smoothly. CONSTITUTION: A disk tray(10) has a tray body(12) including disk loading surfaces(14,15). The first disk loading surface(14) loads a disk having a relatively small diameter while the second disk loading surface(15) loads a disk having a relatively large diameter. Plural guide ribs(16) are formed around the second disk loading surface to prevent a disk from being separated from the disk loading surface. Plural air flow holes(20) are formed at the front end of the tray body to guide a vortex generated by rotation of a disk upward the disk tray. The air flow holes are formed through the tray body between an outer rib(19) and the second tray loading surface. The air flow holes flow a part of the vortex downward the tray body. Thereby, noise caused by colliding of air to the outer rib is reduced.

TL;DR: In this article, a hard disk loading/unloading device which does not cause deformation of parts and damage to a disk unit by preventing excessive load, and which permits safe loading and unloading of hard disks, can prevent the hard disk unit from being damaged by unauthorized operation is presented.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard disk loading/unloading device which does not cause deformation of parts and damage to a hard disk unit by preventing excessive load, and which permits safe loading/unloading and can prevent the hard disk unit from being damaged by unauthorized operation SOLUTION: A hard disk loading/unloading device excellent in operability and reliability is constructed by arranging a tray 3 on which the hard disk unit 4 can be mounted, constructing the hard disk unit 4 so as to be automatically loaded/unloaded by driving the tray with a tray driving motor 1, and controlling by a control circuit 24 to drive the tray 3 after having halted the hard disk unit 4 especially at the time of ejecting

TL;DR: A disk recording and/or reproducing apparatus as mentioned in this paper includes a pair of transport rollers which can hold the disk-shaped recording medium in the diametrical direction and a drive that rotates the first transport roller to rotate the disk by rotation force so that the recording medium is transported between a disk loading portion for recording and or reproducing information and a disk entrance and exit slot.
Abstract: A disk recording and/or reproducing apparatus in which a disk-shaped recording medium such as an optical disk is able to be transported between a disk loading portion for recording and/or reproducing information and a disk entrance and exit slot into and from which the disk-shaped recording medium is inserted and ejected. The disk recording and/or reproducing apparatus includes a pair of transport rollers which can hold the disk-shaped recording medium in the diametrical direction and a drive means for rotating a first transport roller of the pair of transport rollers and wherein a second transport roller of the pair of transport rollers is fixed and the drive means rotates the first transport roller to rotate the disk-shaped recording medium by rotation force so that the disk-shaped recording medium is transported between a disk loading portion for recording and/or reproducing information and a disk entrance and exit slot.

TL;DR: In this paper, a disk loading device is provided which can be thin-thickness and which can miniaturize a driving mechanism including a loading plate 25, where the plate 25 moves along the one side of the main body.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk loading device 21 which can be thin-thickness and which can miniaturize a driving mechanism including a loading plate 25. SOLUTION: A main body 1 is provided with a loading and unloading port 2 for loading and unloading port a disk and a disk loading part 3 for loading a disk through the port 2. A driving part 24 and the loading plate 25 moving along the one side of the main body by driving of the part 24 are provided on the one side of the main body 1. According to moving of the plate 25, moving of the disk by loading mechanism 26 and the clamp of the disk by the part 3 are switched. By providing the part 24 and the plate 25 on the one side of the main body 1, the main body 1 is made to be thin-thickness. The plate 25 moves along the one side of the main body 1 and the driving mechanism including the plate 25 can be miniaturized.
