Abstract: Environmental threats to health and welfare are receiving much attention today and will become an even greater concern in the future. Since they often are the only group able to produce much of the basic data concerning environmental health effects, physicians must become more involved in environmental health problems, individually and organizationally. The Linton Report offers one proposal for attaining a liveable environment and should be reviewed by all health professionals.
