TL;DR: In this paper, a load moving device consists of a base member which supports the load to be moved and slides over a surface over which the load is to be moving, and a skirt is arranged to surround the base member.
Abstract: A load moving device consists of a base member which supports the load to be moved and slides over a surface over which the load is to be moved. A lubricant such as grease is introduced between the base member and the surface and in order to prevent a trail of grease being left when the load is moved a skirt is arranged to surround the base member. A seal is operative between the skirt member and said surface to prevent the passage of grease beyond the skirt and the surplus grease within the skirt is scavenged for re-use.

Abstract: An improved waste grease truck and method is disclosed wherein discarded fat and grease may be conveniently picked up from a restaurant and transported in the new and novel truck. The applicant's new and novel truck comprises a special body having a fully enclosed insulated tank with access means provided on the top of the tank for depositing the waste grease in the tank. The special body also has formed thereon novel positioning and dumping means for raising the full containers of waste grease into position to be dumped. The positioning and dumping means also has associated therewith heating means for heating the solidified containers of grease prior to dumping in order to be able to remove the solidified fat from the containers with ease. A novel means is provided for controlling the inside temperature of the tanks by utilizing a waste heat system connected to the exhaust system of the truck.

TL;DR: In this paper, an air-cleaning, heat-exchange apparatus includes a main housing portion connected by means of an air inlet fan to the kitchen exhaust stack of a restaurant.
Abstract: An air-cleaning, heat-exchange apparatus includes a main housing portion connected by means of an air inlet fan to the kitchen exhaust stack of a restaurant. The apparatus includes an in-line series of three heat exchangers through which a heat-absorptive fluid is circulated, simultaneously, by means of a suitable fluid pump. These heat exchangers remove exhaust gas heat and further transfer this heat to a stream of air, such as that from a cold-air return duct. Due to the fact that the hot exhaust gas is heavily grease laden, grease will be deposited on virtually all internal surfaces of the apparatus which this exhaust gas contacts. The apparatus includes means for spraying exhaust gas contacted internal surfaces, as well as the hot exhaust gas itself, with a detergent solution in which the grease is soluble, thereby removing grease buildup from these internal surfaces. Although some of the grease will be drained off by a liquid carrier resulting from the spraying at a first stage, any remaining emulsified grease, detergent solution and moisture will be eliminated from its gaseous carrier by means of a mist eliminator which is located downstream from the first stage.

TL;DR: An elongated base-panel of rectangular shape is provided with upright end flanges that are substantially parallel and have round holes in alignment for holding horizontally the cylinder of a grease gun that is secured in place by a cylindrical clamp attached to one end flange adjacent to hole therein, with the hand of the gun extending over the top thereof as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: An elongated base-panel of rectangular shape is provided with upright end flanges that are substantially parallel and have round holes in alignment for holding horizontally the cylinder of a grease gun that is secured in place by a cylindrical clamp attached to one end flange adjacent to hole therein, with the hand of the gun extending over the top thereof. Thus, the gun handle can be operated with one hand, while the other hand is free to manipulate a grease fitting to avoid any leakage of grease; and the gun and stand can be moved from place to place as desired.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe a grease composition composed of a uniform dispersion of (a) 70W 98wt% of a silicone oil containing a polysiloxane partly substituted by side chains, (b) 29W 1wt % of a thickener such as polytetrafluoroethylene, and (c) 29 W 1wt%of a lubricant such as molybdenum disulfide.
Abstract: PURPOSE: To prepare grease for an oil damper such as a cassette holder, giving a constant damping effect irrespective of the ambient temperature, by dispersing a thickener and a lubricant uniformly in a silicone oil containing a specific polysiloxane. CONSTITUTION: A grease composition composed of a uniform dispersion of (A)70W 98wt% of a silicone oil containing a polysiloxane partly substituted by side chains, (B)29W1wt% of a thickener such as polytetrafluoroethylene, and (C)29W1wt% of a lubricant such as molybdenum disulfide. The presence of the side chains at the main chain of the silicone increases the viscosity of the grease, and decreases the temperature-dependency of, e.g. the time necessary to open a cassette holder. The lubricant protects the oil from shear degradation, and is especially effective when applied to a part which is used frequently. USE: The cassette holder of a cassette tape recorder. TL;DR: In this paper, a petroleum or synthetic grease is used to protect electrical apparatus from overheating, which is applied to a portion of an electrical apparatus which is exposed to a gas stream, particularly to portions subjected to operating temperatures of about 100°C.
Abstract: A petroleum or synthetic grease is used to protect electrical apparatus from overheating. The grease is applied to a portion of an electrical apparatus which is exposed to a gas stream, particularly to portions subjected to operating temperatures of about 100° C. When the coated portion of the electrical apparatus overheats the grease forms particles in the gas stream which are detected by a monitor. The apparatus can then be shut down or its load reduced.

Abstract: A process for extracting valuable wool wax as a product having the specifications of lanolin from wool grease as found, for example, in the liquor from the scouring of raw wool. The process, apart from removing wool grease/wool wax from wool scouring effluent, avoids the production of pollutants in the extraction process, and in the case of the treatment of wet sludge containing wool grease produces a virtually grease-free solid product suitable for disposal as an environmentally safe soil.

TL;DR: In this paper, industrial alkaline wastes with an oil and/or grease content are treated with demulsifiers and acids (pH-value of 4-5) and removed in a first flotation stage as froth.
Abstract: Industrial alkaline wastes with an oil and/or grease content are treated with demulsifiers and acids (pH-value of 4-5). The oil and/or grease is removed in a first flotation stage as froth. In the second flotation stage, surfactants and detergents are turned into floats and are recycled to the first stage. The water outflow from the second stage is finally neutralised by adding an alkaline soln. This system produces oil and grease with little moisture content so that they can be processed immediately in refineries or burned in combustion chambers. The expenditure for chemicals as well as for power is low.
