TL;DR: In this paper, the measuring machine probe can take measurements along all three axes and is suitable for use in a profile cutting machine, where the probe point is connected to the transducers via a brittle weak link and screw coupling.
Abstract: The measuring machine probe can take measurements along all three axes and is suitable for use in a profile cutting machine. The probe point is connected to the transducer via a brittle weak link and screw coupling. The weak link breaks in the event of severe overload and protects the transducer. Replacement probe points can be quickly fitted by means of the screw coupling. The Z axis transducer consists of a spindle running in a bearing and screwed into a bridge-piece. The spindle extension operates an inductive sensor. The bridge piece is held by two pairs of pistons operating in cylinders which can be subjected to pneumatic pressure to adjust the null position of the probe. The X and Y axes transducers are constructed in a similar way.

TL;DR: In this paper, the inertia switch has an inertia element in a holder, the element and the holder being provided with members securing the switching of the motor vehicle circuit, and a high inertia sphere (1) forms the inertia element and carries a metal dished member (2).
Abstract: The inertia switch has an inertia element in a holder, the element and the holder being provided with members securing the switching of the motor vehicle circuit. A high inertia sphere (1) forms the inertia element and carries a metal dished member (2). The sphere is floated by a liquid or gaseous medium in the holder (4). An inductive or capacitive sensor (6) is in operating connection to the metal dished member. Pref. the sphere is held in floating condition by three pressures gas bearings uniformly distributed round the sphere. Alternately, the sphere is floated in a liquid (3), such as alcohol. Typically an inductive sensor can be used, whose coil forms a part of an oscillator.

TL;DR: In this paper, an inductive proximity sensor allows a number of different sensing configurations to be achieved from the one unit and provides for an electrical socket coupling in a sealed end cap A ferrite core (24) of square cross-section is located against the sensing surface.
Abstract: An inductive proximity sensor allows a number of different sensing configurations to be achieved from the one unit and provides for an electrical socket coupling in a sealed end cap A ferrite core (24) of square cross-section is located against the sensing surface (16). Electrical coil connections are made to a printed circuit plate containing resistors, capacitors (31, 33) and an LED (32) that transmits over a fibre optic link (36) to the outside of the case. Electrical connections are made (59, 60, 51) to a plug located in the body that may have a socket (77) at one end. An 'O' ring sealed cap (43) is located on an external thread.
