TL;DR: In this paper, the protein content of defatted soybean powders is controlled by removing the fine particles with particle size less than a specific dimeter to increase protein content through dry method operations.
Abstract: PURPOSE: Defatted soybean powders in which each particle consists of a part of mainly protein body and the other part of carbohydrate remaining and attaching to the protein body are ground and the fine particles with particle size less than a specific dimeter are removed to increase the protein content through dry method operations. CONSTITUTION: Defatted soybean powders are controlled so that the particles with particle sizes of less than 30μm occupy 70W95% and husks are removed and the protein content is controlled to about 50W65%. The soybean powders are ground so that the content of the powder of less than 20μm particle size becomes 80W95%, preferably using fluid mill such as jet mill. The product is subjected to flying partition to cut fraction of less than Xμm particle size (X is 4W9) and collect the fraction of X and more μm particle sizes. The grinding and flying partition operations are repeated twice, resulting in increase of the protein content of the initial defatted soybean powder by 10W15%. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio

TL;DR: In this paper, the aftertreatment of thermally pre-sintered polymers of tetrafluoroethylene optionally pre-comminuted powders are exposed at temperatures below + 80 ° C the action of a gas jet mill.
Abstract: In a process for the aftertreatment of thermally pre-sintered polymers of tetrafluoroethylene optionally pre-comminuted powders are exposed at temperatures below + 80 ° C the action of a gas jet mill. Preferred starting materials are TFE polymers that contain small amounts of modifying monomers. In the post-treatment bulk density and flowability of the powder can be considerably increased without causing any significant reduction. The post-treated powders are mainly used to improve the production of moldings in automatically fed extruders.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the effect of the feed rate and the air volume on the fineness of the ground product in a jet mill and a drum mill, and they found that the grain sizes received in the drum mill are influenced by feed rate, pulp density, speed of rotation and by the grinding bodies (density, size).

TL;DR: In this paper, a mixture of MgO powder and Ca hypochlorite powder is pre-processed in a jet mill until the size of the mixture is reduced to a size of is approx. 40 µm.
Abstract: Decontamination powder for use on human skin exposed to materials employed in chemical warfare is prepd. by milling a mixt. of MgO powder with particle size 15-20 mu, and Ca hypochlorite powder, size 80-200 mu. in a jet mill until the calcium hypochlorite powder has been reduced to a size of is approx. 40 mu withtout altering the size of the MgO, powder. The inner surface of the mill chamber is pref. lined with polyurethane. For the premilling of the MgO, a mill chamber lined with boron carbide is pref. used. The powder has a large bulk vol., about twice that ot conventional powders so a large specific surface is available for reaction with the poisonous substances. The powder mixt. is not dead-milled but retains its surface activity.
