TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed an optical amplifier and its usage method to dissolve the problem that light amplification and light pillar formation with natural light are impossible concerning existing light amplification technique, so as to largely limit the effective usage region in energy system technology or an industrial field using existing natural light usage technique, and thus offer little hope of development.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve the problem that light amplification and light pillar formation with natural light are impossible concerning existing light amplification technique, so as to largely limit the effective usage region in energy system technology or an industrial field using existing natural light usage technique, and so as to offer little hope of development. SOLUTION: The optical amplifier and its usage method are provided. The mirror surfaces of the optical amplifier for reflecting the light such as a mirror, a metallic mirror, a half mirror, a laser mirror, etc., are made to face. When the light is made incident to the mirror surfaces, relative relation is obtained in the shapes and positions of the mirror surfaces capable of amplifying the light by the repetitive reflection of the light with respect to the mirror surfaces. Alternatively, when the light is made incident to the mirror surfaces, relative relation is obtained in the shapes and positions of the mirror surfaces capable of amplifying the focused light with directivity, i.e., forming the light pillar even when the light is the natural light, by allowing reflection angles to be closer to a right angle with respect to the mirror surfaces in repeating reflection against the mirror surfaces. Consequently, the optical amplifier has a function of generating energy larger than a light source by the light amplification. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT

Abstract: An exemplary indicating lamps device includes a casing comprising a panel defining a plurality of through holes therein. The casing houses a plurality of lamps and a plurality of opaque light shields therein. Each lamp includes a light source and a light pillar extending from the light source into the through holes to transmit light emitted by the light source to an exterior of the casing via the corresponding through hole. The opaque light shields are sleeved around circumferential outer surfaces of the light pillars respectively, for preventing light transmitted in the light pillars from leaking out.
