Abstract: SummaryPreliminary investigation of the popular Chinese herbal drug Yunnan Bai Yao has shown that it contains large proportions of polysaccharide. It also contains other oxygen functions besides carbohydrate and small amounts of nitrogenous ingredients. The presence of significant concentrations of calcium and phosphorus has been revealed by emission spectrometry.ZusammenfassungVorläufige Untersuchungen der volkstümlichen chinesischen Pflanzendroge Yunnan Bai Yao ergaben verhältnismäßig große Polysaccharidanteile. Außerdem enthält die Droge auch andere sauerstoffhältige Gruppen sowie geringe Mengen stickstoffhältiger Bestandteile. Die Anwesenheit deutlicher Mengen Calcium und Phosphor wurde durch Emissionsspektrometrie nachgewiesen.
